C40's 2nd Annual Women4Climate Conference took place in Mexico City from February 25-26. Read on for some of the best highlights from an incredible event!

Over the course of two exciting and inspiring days, mayors of the world’s great cities gathered in Mexico City, alongside global business leaders, innovators and the next generation of women leaders, to highlight the critical role of women in creating a healthier, greener and more economically prosperous urban future.

Mayor Valérie Plante of Montreal, Mayor Gregor Robertson of Vancouver, Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera of Mexico City, Mayor Virginia Raggi of Rome, Mayor Jackie Biskupski of Salt Lake City and Mayor-elect LaToya Cantrell of New Orleans joined a diverse and dynamic group of speakers including Christiana Figueres, Convenor of Mission 2020, Patricia Espinosa, Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, and Alexandra Palt, Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer at L'Oréal and Executive Vice President of the L'Oréal Foundation. Speakers took the stage to discuss ways to empower women, make our air cleaner, and build more inclusive and resilient communities through climate action.

The conference also debuted the innovative ideas and urban projects of the women who are part of the C40 Women4Climate Mentorship Programme.
