The transport and congestion workshop

The City of London and the City of Stockholm jointly hosted the C40 Workshop on Transport and Congestion which took place in London, 3 - 5 December 2007. 120 senior representatives from 34 world cities participated in the event to share best practice on the most effective city transport and congestion schemes to tackle climate change. The aim of the event - to share knowledge on the very best of city initiatives and to facilitate action across the participating cities. Senior transport directors and city officials learnt about and discussed a range of experiences with a view to adopting them for their own city. The workshop opened on 3 December with key note addresses from Ken Livingstone Mayor of London and Ulla Hamilton, Vice Mayor of Stockholm.
