October was a big month for the C40 Climate Positive Development Program. The City of Copenhagen’s Nordhavn project has been accepted to join the Program, and in Sao Paulo, Odebrecht’s Parque da Cidade (Park of the City) formally launched with a big kick-off event.
Outubro foi um grande mês para o Programa Climate Positive Development. O projeto Nordhavn da cidade de Copenhagen foi aceito como o mais novo projeto do Programa, e em São Paulo, o empreendimento Parque da Cidade da Odebrecht (OR) foi formalmente lançado com um super evento.
Nordhavn, a project aiming to create ‘the sustainable city of the future’, has joined C40’s Climate Positive Development Program, bringing the City of Copenhagen into a global network of cities committed to carbon neutral development. With this addition, Climate Positive now convenes 18 cutting-edge urban development projects that serve as living laboratories for sustainable solutions in cities around the world.
In a June 20, 2012 article in the London Evening Standard, Jonathan Prynn wrote about the Elephant and Castle regeneration, and the exciting progress that will take place to restore this central London site back to the vibrancy of its heyday, making it one of the great destinations in Central London.
